We rely strictly on mathematics, generating independent fighter ratings based purely on performance inside the cage. No favored fighters, no subjective bias—just cold, hard data calculating the probability of victory based on past martial arts reality.

THE ELO METHODOLOGY

Core Concept

Our ranking system is an adaptation of the Arpad Elo rating system. Fighters gain points for a win and lose points for a defeat. The amount of points at stake depends entirely on the disparity in rating between the two competitors before the bout.

// Baseline

New fighters enter with a baseline rating of 1200.

Opponent Factor

Beating a higher-rated opponent yields significantly more points than crushing a lower-tier fighter. Losing to a massive underdog will devastate a fighter's rating.

Finish Bonus

Finishes (KO/TKO/Submission) amplify the points exchanged. A devastating first-round knockout generates a larger ratings swing than a marginal split decision.

Inactivity Penalty

Fighters who are dormant for extended periods slowly bleed points over time, ensuring the highest ranked are active competitors.

DATA PROCESSING & UPDATES

Our historical database contains decades of professional martial arts bouts. The algorithm ingests this ledger sequentially to calculate the present-time rating of thousands of active competitors.
